Mill Valley USA

The painting of the snowy scene depicting a futuristic Mill Valley was inspired by a love and appreciation for the various ski maps I admired as a young skier/snowboarder, and in particular, the map of Squaw Valley. The title of the piece is called “Mill Valley USA”. 

 

It took two years to paint the snowy 4’x6’ image of Mount Tam for the background. Then it took a few more months to get the runs, lifts, and text to look just right. The ski runs are named after established trails, mountain bike legends, Dipsea runners, local luminaries and musicians. Posters and Fine art prints are available here.
